VIPERA

IHow do we carry our beginnings within us, and how the maternal relationship continues to echo through the body long after childhood has ended.

VIPERA explores the unstable terrain between birth, presence, and emotional memory. I am interested in what is inherited emotionally, and with the ways family relationships can shape our understanding of the body, intimacy and selfhood. I look at my relationship with my mother, my place as a daughter, sister and possible mother as both an intimate bond and a site of tension.
